Just 5 d00ds making music for your ears. We try to put on our best performances and nothing less. We've had our rough times and our good times. Right now, we are just focusing on getting ourself exposed and out there. Having fun and making connections. We love the shows. We love the venues. Even more we love the kids who take time out of very busy lifes to relax a bit and watch some local music.
To state the obvious we are a metal/HC (Hardcore Band) from Independence MO. Mostly metal. We love to say we are from "L.A." MO though... (Wanna bee's).
STORY OF THE BAND (From the 5th grade perspective of Noah & Brandon) (More perspectives added soon!)
Our vocalist Noah Hellhake and our drummer Brandon Miranda were the known "band" from 5th grade. They started as a rock/pop wanna be metal band entitled "When All Hope Fails You," after a good run for about 1 year, they decided this was nothing serious and moved on to other things. In the late summer before middle school started, they enrolled in playing in the orchestra determined to play something with strings. SOMETHING TO MAKE NOISE IN SCHOOL. They both signed up for applying there selves to playing the CELLO. That year (6th Grade Year) they both met up with Joshua Carmack (Guitar for Prowl the Sky). They decided he was a well thought-out dude who was no trouble just a quiet face with very talented guitar skills. He also had massive plans and ideas for when he caught hold of a band. After these three jammed on-and-off for the next year and 1/2 or so... the idea came around for the band in the middle of their 7th grade year. After listening to the local music scene for some time (Introduced by Heath Hellhake-second bassist for Prowl the Sky) they really decided on the sound they wanted. Instead of the sound they "thought" they wanted something else came about. They were soon a working progress. A "heavy-as-shit" viking metal project for fun, but they soon decided to make things serious. The band jammed into early 8th grade year, until recruiting a master-mind guitarist Ron Ridinger (Guitar for Prowl the Sky). After recruiting Ron Ridinger (Guitar Prowl the Sky) it was time to get to business, and the first thing on the list was a new band name. As some of you may have known the band/side project (Noah Hellhake, Joshua Carmack, Brandon Miranda) name was originally "Maimed Corpse," after about 3 months into 7th grade they changed the band/side project name to "Blackened by Burning," and then finally decided on our final name when Ron Ridinger (Guitar for Prowl the Sky) joined (and mostly completed their line up), and we all decided on a (Heath Hellhake) band name, which is our current band name "Prowl the Sky." The four jammed out of 8th grade year destined to play shows. They soon realized they wanted a less heavier but with more BREAKDOWNS sound, one that would fit in just a bit more with the KC scene. After playing around 6 shows. They took Sour Apple Surgery's drummer under go with them as Prowl the Sky's new bass player. Josh Hobbs. Known as Hobbs. Since he has joined he has been a huge help. Filling in on bass ( A quick replacement before he even Joined), filling in on guitar, and filling in on drums. This very talented musician, we are very glad to have with us on our journey to success.

Now the band is currently writing all new material and taking a break from our shows for a while. Please also take a look at our upcoming shows page and our Myspace and come out and support us. As I said, Prowl the Sky is currently writing new material and RECORDING.
